Our Mission
The Marble Institute of America as well as consumer sites such as www.stoneandtilepros.com and www.marblecleaning.org that answer questions about natural stone care and maintenance, receive a multitude of queries from desperate homeowners that have been victims of doctored stone. As a result, a collection of people in the industry have joined forces to work together to contribute to this site devoted exclusively to this deceptive and widespread concern.
Doctoredstone.org is a portal into whats being done behind the scenes and to help consumers deal with this problem.
Our goal is to arm consumers with information and resources as well as to collect data and to cause enough of a fuss to effect change in the industry that has 'closed its eyes' to the practice for far too long.
